How did the name of our brewery come about? Well, our brewery name has nothing to do with the well-known animal from South America, and this animal is spelled without an "h." Langenzenn has been a center of brickmaking for over 400 years, and for this, clay, or loam, is used in the Franconian region, an Lahma. So what could be more natural than to establish a connection to our town? Lahma Bräu was born. Baatz Bräu - Matsche Bräu or Lebberi Bräu? Bricks have been manufactured in Langenzenn since the 16th century. Highly exposed Lehrberg layers provide the necessary raw material. Of the four post-war brickworks, one still produces clay roof tiles today. The traditional Langenzenn company Walther-Jacobi has been doing so since 1878.
